📝Volunteers Needed and Always Appreciated
FOR ALL GROWN UPS: The 6th grade Social Studies team is looking for volunteers to help with Reality 101 on Thursday, May 21. This is a fun activity designed to teach students the importance of making smart financial decisions as they “live” for one month as if they are 25 years old and make choices about housing, transportation, budgeting, and more.
No experience is necessary! You can sign up for either time slot.
Thank you for your support! Sign up HERE!
♥️Teacher & Staff Gift Fund - End of Year Collection
Help us show appreciation for our incredible teachers and staff as we wrap up the school year.
How It Works:
- Donations are collected for a shared gift fund (suggested minimum $50 per student), 100% of it is divided equally among all teachers and staff.
- The staff will receive a card with their monetary gift and a list of contributing students.
- Participation is completely voluntary.
Deadline to contribute: May 22 on the PTSO website.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
We are so grateful for the Shepard teachers and staff and took full advantage of this week to show them.
Here are some pictures to show how your contributions made this happen:

♥️Thank you as well to everyone who contributed desserts for the staff BBQ this past week. The staff shared how they felt so appreciated this way.

📚Legacy Books
Thank you for your contributions, we were able to raise $1,420 to donate to the Learning Commons. Please see the note of appreciation from Dr. Trudeau:
Dear Spartan Families,
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donations to Shepard's Legacy Books program. Your contributions play a vital role in expanding our library collection, ensuring that our students have access to a rich and diverse range of stories and information for years to come. This program is more than just adding books to shelves; it is about building a lasting legacy of literacy and curiosity for every student at Shepard.
To celebrate your generosity, we will be inviting students to be part of the dedication process this week. Students may stop by the Learning Commons to select a book and officially dedicate it to the collection by filling out a book plate and affixing it to the inside of the book. This marks their personal contribution to our school's legacy. It's always fun to open up these books years later and see the names of Shepard grads!
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderfully supportive community. Quite simply, we couldn’t do this without you. Your commitment to our students' education and their love for reading is what makes our library a truly special place.
Thank you again for your kindness and for helping our library grow!
Warmly,
Andrea Trudeau
We truly are stronger together, and our school community thrives because of the time and talents our families share.
